The Holy Father.

A sitter, watching over the holy shield. Once he took his place the edges buried themselves deep into his flesh, shielding its content from prying eyes.

The Cardinal.

Unable to separate from the shield, the Holy father needed a representative. The Cardinal is the herald of his teachings and takes care of the holy duties.

The Priest.

No one dares to doubt the Priest. Chosen as the harbinger of the shield, he has exploited his size and position more than once for his own good.

The Knight.

By becoming a Knight he gave up his ability to fly. In a holy ritual his wings got pruned so that he shall be able to wield his sword.

The Dragon.

Each proper Knight needs a Dragon as each proper bird fears a cat. But as the bird’s kingdom rose, cats were no more. They became illustrious beasts filling the tales and dreams of knights to-be.

The Merchant.

How can a mouse survive in this cruel feathered world? Of course by offering valuable goods to the birds. Building materials, decorations and above all berries get trafficked by the Merchant, a future-proof existence.

The Berrytail.

The reign of the birds goes a long way. Even creatures not related would rather avoid getting on their bad side. This Berrytail sets a good example, seeing that its fur is quite suitable for transporting precious goods.

The Fat Ball.

The shield was by far not the only thing left behind. Over the course of time birds began exploring forgotten treasures and findings, so did the Fat Ball. Making himself at home in a jewel case, placed on a well-attended tree, he is trading
